That's on a video or DVD somewhere .. can't remember which one offhand, but I know I've got it! The B&W shots were from a warm up rehearsal, no audience in the Mill. |

I'm sure it's that Ken Russell documentary, Amy....
And yes, it was the Monday warm-up rehearsal in The Mill that same year. I thought it clever that the B&W bits were rehearsal, the colour bts Cropredy.

This is part of the film "Glastonbury 71" (I think), which was released some years ago. Bl---dy br----nt film; I had it on video, lent it to someone and it was then lost. Disaster! But it is an excellent document, not just of some great music, but also as a piece of social history. Some fascinating crowd scenes which give a real flavour of those heady, and long gone now, times.

Memories of that time - Swarb leaving the stage while Simon and the other two Daves were playing something to cadge fags... Swarb and Peggy trying to play so fast that Simes couldn't keep up (Dagenham Roundhouse 1971)... But he bloody well did - that nice white or creamTelecaster... Playing at the Crystal Palace Bowl...
