Excellent quality. Thanks for this one. Indeed. I've never seen that clip in anything approaching that quality. That beautiful guitar work still catches me unaware everytime. Brilliant, just brilliant....

Brilliant, just brilliant.... I believe there are SIGNIFICANT legal & moral problems with this particular clip, I am sure Jude will be along to clarify because lets face it she should know.

Just wonderful, love Jude's recorder playing, Richard's solo, Martin's hat, Iain's closed eyes behind his shades.

Fab. Phantom of the Folk Rock Opera. Seem to remember Oct '10 tour dates being mentioned. Or was it but a dream?

It never got the funding past the initial show unfortunately. Kevin did try to get a tour together and there was some interest but the arts council wouldn't back it. Including LJE there were about twenty people involved all of whom were professionals.Without the money to underwrite it it wasn't feasible, which is a great shame because Kevin did a great job of writing it and Paul Smith did a fantastic job of recording it! I know that Kevin is still interested in doing it again and the band would be up for it but it's a bit of a catch 22 not being able to tour it without financial assistance but at the same time trying to raise awareness to get that assistance. Maybe one day! It was great fun to do.

What a shame. Still. it's the album's 40th anniversary next year, maybe a spot at next year's Cropredy? Big screen, captive audience, game. set, match. I'd go!

With it being forty years next year I'm sure the real Fairports will take care of performing their own album although it would be great to get the arialists in on the show maybe with Kevin narrating.I go and see that.

In the mid-70s, English wrestler Brian Maxine recorded a country rock album "Ribbon Of Stainless Steel" backed by various members of Fairport. On this Cropredy 1982 video, he rejoins them for Six Days On The Road, a track from the LP - joined by Dave Swarbrick, Trevor Lucas, Dave Pegg, Jerry Donahue, Dave Mattacks, Bruce Rowland, Dan Ar Bras, Linda Thompson etc. It's nobody's finest musical moment, but it's historical. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wgtxNZ7mhI
