Not in '82, Jenny....Sandy died 4 years earlier.

I hate to say it, but I tend to agree with the 'nobody's finest moment' tag  Wink

Brian Maxine and his lovely lady were in attendance at the last night of the Wintour at Birmingham Town Hall back in March this year.

In the mid-70s, English wrestler Brian Maxine recorded a country rock album "Ribbon Of Stainless Steel" backed by various members of Fairport. On this Cropredy 1982 video, he rejoins them for Six Days On The Road, a track from the LP - joined by Dave Swarbrick, Trevor Lucas, Dave Pegg, Jerry Donahue, Dave Mattacks, Bruce Rowland, Dan Ar Bras, Linda Thompson etc. It's nobody's finest musical moment, but it's historical.

actually it probabaly was Brian's finest musical moment
or maybe it was when he joined the 3 desperate mortgages onstage for a song or 3 at salford university at the time between Gottle and Bonny Bunch when FC wern't exactly a going concern

Well, I'd say something about not mocking the fashions of the past, but since anything I was wearing in 1982 was entirely my mother's fault, I shall feel free to point and snigger  Wink

And I had no idea this existed. . .I saw this line-up at Cheltenham in 1976 during those brief few months they existed.

I'd always thought there was only one member of Fairport who played the autoharp, Jude!

And whatever happened to Roger Burridge?

I could hear the current line up doing that song justice as well - shame it has fallen out of favour cos it is from GoG I guess.
