I'm getting pretty fond of this take of Percy's Song from the BBC sessions that were released as Heyday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt1mUCHgJu8&feature=relatedWho's the organ player?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF7rq12UCUERichard Thompson, with a solo version of Meet On The Ledge - recorded at the Port Fairy Folk Festival in Australia, 2006. This is from the (apparently now deleted) DVD of the event and is RT's only track on it.

Here are two "videos" of rarely if ever mentioned Fairport songs. Eastern Rain - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTOejLE87T8I'll Keep It With Mine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUtFXmS9FmAThe latter is my personal favourite of anything Fairport have ever done. That these two recordings are on just one side of an early LP remains an absolutely staggering achievement. Harmonies to die for. Thompson, still only just old enough to go into pub legally...

To keep amused those of us who aren't currently at Cropredy - here's a couple of rare videos of the 1992 (newly acoustic) Albion Band, with AH, Julie Matthews, Simon Care & Keith Hinchliffe : Set Their Mouths To Twisting / Hanging Tree http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9kswW6dFLYtune set http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccJ2tSUOaCcAn under-recorded (or barely recorded!) line-up.

I managed to piece together what I think was the whole of the Celebration TV show from 1981 courtesy of YouTube last night. Lousy picture quality but pretty good sound. What a wonderful thing. I didn't realise it existed until yesterday. Swarb in cracking form. I wish it was available commercially.

I love how Mattacks is living up to his t-shirt again. There's a BL clip somewhere where he's wearing a shirt that says MIMING. Also, is that second tune actually the Cherokee Shuffle? Sounds different to the one I know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhtdAGI1dcc&feature=related

Can you give us the links? Start here: http://www.youtube.com/user/nearlyoutofideas#p/search/5/gbq0OYOndNMThen go into nearlyoutofideas's videos and type Fairport Celebration into the search engine and it will take you to the rest of the clips.
