Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that David...watched it last night and chalked it up to being exhausted. I went on Albert Lee's site, and details with longer clips seem to be only coming if you chalk up some money to support the project.

This account has quite a few longer Fairport goodies including what seems to be the complete documentary of Maidstone '70 as well as the POP2 footage and It All Comes Round Again: http://www.youtube.com/user/RemyTena2/videos

Glad it is up so I can save my VHS copy from potentially getting eaten by a video player

Angel Delight from the infamous Ainsdale Beach show in 1971 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clRmQc4IjNE and the other 3 songs are now available on UK itunes in better quality at £1.89 each. For Grace they've taken out the intro minute and obviously had source tape as the ending is not intercut with credits anymore. Doesn't look like they've done the same with the Steeleye tracks, so maybe permissions from the band were not given? Marshall

Not sure if this has been mentioned before... From the "Singing Games For Children" VHS video released by Simon & Sylcia Nicol (with help from Maart) in 1989. In fact, an out-take from it - now that's obscure! Dashing Away With The Smoothing Iron www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAlevP8JWOQOr as I like to remember the chorus - "Keep her away from the soldering iron / She's having one of her turns". That's probably just me.

Never saw this before, and don't see any references to it here. A French broadcast with the 1970 lineup, five songs. The sound is not so great, but not horrible either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQsMdKcXyRE

The sound is not so great, but not horrible either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQsMdKcXyREThis was from the French Pop Deux series, filmed at the Taverne de l'Olympia in Paris. As Jules says it it was originally in colour but a lot of versions of these shows are circulating in black and white as the French SECAM format will only output a monochrome signal when played back on PAL equipment - so presumably a lot of people made the same mistake when transferring from one format to the other. The same reason incidentally that the Bouton Rouge '68 clip on the It All Comes Round Again documentary is in black and white when it was originally shot in colour. You can purchase a download of the full show (in colour) that this came from direct from the TV company at a very reasonable 3.99 Euros - as long as your French is up to scratch, there isn't an English translation unfortunately. http://boutique.ina.fr/video/art-et-culture/arts-du-spectacle/CPF86653665/pop-deux-emission-du-05-decembre1970.fr.htmlSomeone really ought to compile all this early footage for a DVD release, although I guess the cost of licensing would be prohibitive.

Also had a couple of nursery rhyme videos that included the likes of Martin Carthy, Tim Hart(maybe?) providing the music. My 2 sons loved those.

Thanks for those, Alice did look like fun. I wish the lads would get some proper fireworks in for MOTL though. Wasting their time with the sparklers stuck to the top of the stage.
