Wow, no lead guitar and Bob Brady on lead vocals, very different. DW

Sorry, couldn't see or really hear him Haven't watched the whole thing very carefully, but he's definitely present and correct during Sloth (UPDATE: although standing near the rear and, in truth, barely playing anything resembling lead guitar at all. Effectively, from this evidence you are correct, then! Most of Sloth is a bass/fiddle thing. Interesting, but not the greatest version ever.) Fascinating footage though...

Them lads at the front didn't look very happy though did they? And there's an audience member on the right of the screen at 6:42 who looks jolly annoyed with someone off to his right ....

It is a fascinating clip - Swarb and Peggy and Bruce are playing great, Dan is a bit anonymous, Roger showed huge potential but although Bob Brady sings Ok I cannot fathom what the piano is doing there, it sounds awful and totally out of place.

Seen it before but never apologise for sharing something that good again. This was the year I got into Fairport and started seeing them (at the Christmas gigs in Wimbledon Theatre). If I'd known this was going on around that time I don't think my little 14 year old self could have coped.

We were really spoiled that August, as well as the Broughton Castle "Cropredy", Granada gave us this Fairport "Celebration" programme & the BBC broadcast "A Little Night Music" series with a half hour each of R<, Home Service & John Martin. Good days.

Yep, DM, Blue Weaver organ, John David I think on bass, is that Bj Cole on pedal Steel? I saw that lineup at one of their first warmup gigs in a function room behind a pub/hotel near St Asaph in N Wales. No idea of the ladies names, I'm afraid.
