As per Dave Pegg's idea in his Talkawhile Guest role, can we come up with a decent title for the next album?

My initial suggestion: "Friendly Heroes"... but I'm sure you can do better!

suggestion for the new album title,  RubiConvention

40 years = Ruby anniversary

Rubicon definition:     take a decisive step

Synonyms:    bite the bullet, choose one's fate, jump in with both feet, leap into the breach, leave a crossroads, make one's move, pass the Rubicon, prendre la balle au bond, take for better or worse, take the bull by the horns, take the plunge

Torn between "Life Begins" and "RubiConvention".  Both excellent suggestions.

On balance, I think that I'd go for the latter as Martin's reasoning is flawless!

I'm not sure that it's a good idea to keep focussing on longevity. 'XXXV' 'Over the (next) hill'

As for positive ideas  Huh

I think Simon once said that Fairport's albums were the musical equivilent of postcards home, letting people know what the band were about at any particular time. My nomination therefore is:

Postcards Home.

I agree, in my previous post I was only trying to improve on Jims suggestion.

I hope they come up with something completely different & not something that plays on their longevity.
