My Mum and Dad used to hang around with her when she lived in Brum as my Dads mate went out with her. Thought herself a cut above the rest allegedly Wink

John Martyn - genius, taken as read (or should be  Grin) I recently bought a remastered Solid Air - I've also spent more money than is sensible on a second hand hi-fi set up ( and I mean a lot of money  Embarrassed) the thing that strikes me is Danny Thompson's playing on this album; the mood is led by Thompson as much as McGeechie, seminal album, mindblowing musicianship - why would anyone do anything else other than listen to 'Go Down Easy'?

I've often said that Danny Thompson should be given a decent career retrospective -a well packaged 4-5 CD boxed set would be absolutely marvellous. Think how eclectic it would be?!!

Come on Free Read, get on with it!

Cheers

Fwiw, I've been playing the CDs with Dorris Henderson, which I've had for a few years, and they're better than I thought they were.

Colin Harper just put this up on FB...from the short-lived '82 reunion.  This is a Terry-less performance, but is bloody fine nonetheless
