The Hiring Fair English > Dutch > English

It couldn't cope with some of the intricacies leaving a fair bit in Dutch, but I did enjoy this particular fragment:

When all was safely gathered in and we sat down to rest
My trembling fingers touched her arm, and she placed them on her breast

became

Then everyone within was safely collected and we will rest to sit my trembling fingers touched its weapon, and she placed them on its udder  Wink

Bonny Black Hare English > German > English was quite good fun too...  It became:

On May 14. at the dawn of the daily with me rifle on me shoulder to the wood I ran away on the search for any play, if the weather examined that the fair could to to see I a shot at bonny the black hares receive OH- I met a young girl there with a face, since a rose and its skin were so appropriate, how the lily, which grows I, "I honestly Maid says, why ramble you so? Can you to me explain, where bonny the black hares went?" The answer, which gave it me, their answer, was, "No.. however it is under me shield, says it, if you go. And if you did not amount to me, I swear and explain, sake we both go together, bonny the black hares hunting." Well I put this girl down with its face to the sky and I took itself out Ramrod and me meant "bolting device of the rifle bullets likewise I its round legs ' I and excavation inside with your heels, because, we more exactly received, feels it better that." The birds, sang them in the shrubs and in the trees. And the song, which they sang, was, "it is simply too please." I believed to tremble its heart and I knew that which I was done say I, "to have you you had enough from me old sporting rifle." The answer, which gave it me, their answer, was, "no. It is not frequently young Sportsmen like you comes in this way. And if you are more pounder are ready and your rifle bullets play honestly. Why not it maintenance ignition at bonny the black hares." "OH -, I more pounder is wasted, and I the rifle bullets gone completely. I Ramrod am weak and I can fire not on. But I am back in the morning and if you are still here, sake we both go hunting together again, bonny the black hares."

And for those that prefer their Fairport of the more recent variety, here is Over the Next Hill from English > German > English.

 Wink

The road always always always continues. If your wheels the miles burn and you carry down shoe leathers up. And your face is frozen in a smile, and the road always continues. The road always always always continues. Over the following hill there is possibly good weather. If you over table top sides, eyes far with wine and miracle fly. Or counting Kaenguruhs putrefies, at the Dingotagen down under it. Down under it, down under it, to the Dingotagen down under it. Over the following hill there are none more rain or thunder. Although you selected the opened road and you were ready, the Schilling tambourine of the man sing and dance and take. All secret-cheat and steps, which learned you, but, as soon as the stone begins, is not to roll it not for the rotation. Like a role stone without the direction head. If you walk into a changing room, without fresh color or window. Or you strutting on any dusty stage and are surprised, where the time goes. The time goes, the time goes and is surprised, where the time goes. Over the following hill they say that there is rainbow. OH -, rainbow, rainbow, somewhere surplus rainbow. Over the following hill it knows where the time goes.

Well, since it is the most popular trad track here (according to the Hancocks) I had to do the first verse of Matty Groves, here is the first verse in Greek

and back into English

Interruptions, interruptions, and first one of the year spouse of Lord Donald entered in the church, the Gospel for in order to they hear and when became the meeting this, flew the eyes roughly and there evle'j'de the thickets few Matty, walking in the crowd "comes at home with with, the thickets few Matty, comes at home with with comes tonight at home with with, the thickets few Matty, and the sleep with with up to the light" "OH, cannot come at home, I do not come at home and the sleep with you tonight from the rings in your fingers that I can say you she is spouse gentleman my animals of one year "

OK - someone had to do it. It's from the Spanish.

We said, that we come the day, all we would be making songs, or we would be finding words better. These ideas never lasted of length. The way is for above, throughout the way, the air is obtaining thin. Also many proven friends who, unloaded this mountain the wind. Satisfy in the shelf, we are going to satisfy in the shelf, when my time is for above I is going to consider all my friends. Satisfy in the shelf, meeting in the shelf, if you really mean it, he who comes everything around again.

I just love being satisfied in the shelf, don't you?

(English->Italian->English)

When the stone is developed too much cold in order to kneel
Down itself in waters that of crystal cold I will be limited
As stone tired to the sounds on the small wheel
Hour is thankful for the good things under
Hour is thankful to your creator
For of rose, the red closings of rose affinchè all knows

When the fire is developed too much feracious in order to breathe
In irons burning feracious will be limited
Poichè fire tired to the sounds on the small wheel
Hour is thankful for the good things under
Hour is thankful to your creator
For of rose, the red closings of rose affinchè all knows

Anyway...

Polly On The Shore (English - French - English)

Come all you from wild young men
and a catch of warning by me
never wire your only life stray
or in the bad company
as I myself made,
being all in May
when I, as tightened by a captain in the merchant navy,
a privateer to trade

in the Indies east were related to us
to plundering the making force rage
and it is much boat courageous and galliant which
we sent to a tomb aqueous ampèreheure,
because of Freeport we directed,
our provisions to replace
when we noticed a man-of-war "bold"
sailing three feet to our two

Ah, it put fire through our arcs,
"pushed with and rendering does not refuse
maintaining with my order
or your lives you will lose"
and our platforms they were pulverized with blood
and the guns extremely howled
and broadside and broadside a long time us
we extend until we could not fight not more
and thousand times where I only am wished to me, all alone with my Polly on the shore

It is a large and thin girl
with an eye of darkness and a-bearing
and is me here, a-bleeding on the platform
and for a holy candy must be
good-bye, my family and my friends,
in the same way too much
I never with far would not have crossed the salt sea
if I would have been reigned by you
and thousand times where I was re-examined,
all only with my Polly on the shore

That Swarb/RT classic "Pace Some Moments" gets the English > Dutch > English treatment:

Pace some moments, pace some moments, pace some moments with me. More together runs we, loving, improves we agreement will go, we agreement will go.

And the verses:

One hand in your mouth and your finger in your eye. Undertakers bend their accounts since you go along current.

Here another Sunday, which rings on the bell, and comes here a wounded tell child, a to another one tale, comes.

"Bring," the aforesaid brouwer, bring the cow wafer tree. Our to keep company brings

Two miles to your lady mother below the way, the woman of Henry Tompkin's. Three miles below the way and he has running for its life.
