If I had to choose just one to take with me, Kirsty. . .well I guess 92, but I have a sneaky suspicion a certain couple of days in August this year might just come close.

I keep thinking that about Cropredy.  But then I keep remembering that Jerry isn't playing... Sad

Ummmm, I wonder if common sense has broken out...as the August dates seem to have gone from The Gathering myspace site...??

http://www.myspace.com/thegatheringmusic

Let's hope that means my depression is unwarranted...

I have to say I'd be AMAZED if he wasn't there for the 40th. I'm already there on Saturday night listening to Sloth with twin lead guitars, three fiddlers and two drummers!

Were they ever on the myspace site?  Certainly I never saw them there, and they have never answered my enquiry.

Didn't the information come from Ulla who got them from Clive Bunker? (and Doug Morter's site which is still showing as hacked)

PS .... happy b-day fairport  Wink

I agree - I remember them being there too.....
Further down that MySpace site, it says this....
Booking: We are taking offers for festivals and will be touring the UK in November and December 2007

So it looks as if those dates are off.... Grin Grin

Mighe be worth keeping an eye on their agent's website

Currently in the date sheet are the following....

2008 January

Sunday 27th Festival of Rock and Blues, Skegness
Jerry Donahue Band

2008 February
Friday 1st Tba Denmark
Jerry Donahue Band

Saturday 2nd Herlev Hallen, Copenhagen, Denmark
Jerry Donahue Band

Now, whether this is The Gathering is unknown, but would you book a band called 'The Gathering', without knowing who's in the band? Surely easeier to market 'The Jerry Donahue Band'?

It is spooky. The tour dates were on Doug Morter´s homepage, but now the page is hacked by a Turkish hacker.
On the venue's pages (f.e. the Pignose Inn in East Prawle or the Blues Festival in Gloucester) there is no mention of a gig with The Gathering.

And still nothing on several myspace pages (The Gathering or Kristina Donahue or the tour management).
But the musicians have the dates in their diaries. What a weired management.

It´s just confusing.
Now I found on the Darwen Library Theater homepage and announcement that the band is going to play there on Friday, 10. August. http://www.darwenlibrarytheatre.com
Clive does not know this so far.

Yes, I think you are right. I heard it through the grapevine that Jerry will be there on Saturday.

Hmmm - I don't think that will sell out that close to Cropredy.

I will wait for further potential dates - but this is one gig I'm not missing!
