I think FC should do more instrumentals in their set. What do you think? Which would you like to see revived? Which would you not like to hear? For a start, I'd like to hear Flatback Caper, Jenny's Chickens/Mason's Apron, The Youngest Daughter and Fiddlestix, but I think I've had enough of Canny Capers

Anything but Portmeirion, it's not that I don't like it, it just takes me to a place I'd rather not be

I would particularly like to see Flatback Caper and some of the earlier instrumentals played at Cropredy. With Swarb no longer singing, and Trevor and Sandy gone, these are some of the few times you get to see tunes from the early albums played by the line-up that recorded them. (Which is not to say I don't love to see Chris's While and Leslie singing - I love hearing both)
And apart from the anorak reason - they're some of my favourite tracks!

It would probably need some rearranging but I'd love to hear Surfeit of Lamphreys, one of my all time favourite Fairport recordings. Royal Seleccion (spelling???) has always been a favourite of mine, and maybe a run through Mr Sands Is In The Building.

I'd love to hear them do Si Bheag Si Mhor again. I know Simon likes it as he quoted "it's one to get lost in" They featured it regularly in the late 80s/early 90s but they haven't done it since then as far as I'm aware. I love the longer stuff - this and Sloth as examples - do they leave them out because they would take out 2/3 songs, do you reckon? They must do Sloth at Cropredy this year - PLEASE everyone agree with me!!! And we must get MG twice this year?

I'd quite like to hear Sir B again. Gawd knows how long that's been out of the repertoire...
