The Mill is flooded isn't it? How long was it out of action the last time this happened?

Is it possible that the place will be up and running in two week's time?

I don't know, that's why I ask.

Are you coming then, Cocker? Is that why you're concerned?  Roll Eyes

The outside of the Mill is definitely under water - or was yesterday.

What the inside is like is anyone's guess until at least tomorrow, as access has been impossible. The Mill's Director, Tony Smee was pictured laying sandbags as the water rose on Friday and, to my knowledge, no one has yet got back inside to check for any damage.
It will be a day or so before any announcement...

Gower - I do know however, that the Mill are carrying a waiting list for warm-up shows, so it might be worth calling them in a day or so once they've had a chance to get in & assess any damage. A call tomorrow will likely piss them off somewhat. You'll definitely get your money, either in selling it to the waiting list, or on refund should the worst occur (which it won't - I'm sure of that, one way or another the gigs will take place)

Hmmmm. Just had a natter with The Mill with regard to their returns policy. Sad

Owing to the disruption with the flooding, this may go by the board. Apparently the Mill are having a meeting with Rob Braviner tomorrow with regard to the possibility of releasing further tickets, owing to the fact that the new venue holds more people than the Mill does.

They will also consider whether it should be a sitting gig or a standing one  Shocked

This obviously has implications for those wanting a good view  Grin  It seems to be advisable to get along to Woodford Halse sharpish, if you're fussed about being near the front.

SO - back on topic - One ticket for August 6th for the FC warm up is still burning a hole in my pocket. Seems less likely that I will find a taker now though  Tongue

Does anyone have, or know someone who has, a spare ticket (other than GF) for the gig in question. Thanks  Smiley

I would wait for the outcome of Rob's meeting with Mill management - I suspect you will be pleased by the outcome....
