Does anybody have a decent and definitely genuine example of Trevor's signature?

I've just bought one cheaply off eBay on the offchance it might just be genuine  Smiley  I know most of the rest of the chaps' pretty well, but don't think I've ever seen Lucas's before...

When I ordered Glady´s Leap from Peggy in 1985, the LP came with the back of the cover autographed by the players on the album as well as Jerry D, Trevor and Bruce R. Obviously it had been signed around Cropredy that year since all of them, maybe apart from Bruce, had been on stage that year.So I regard that  autograph to be rather genuine. Unfortunately I don't have any scanning possibilities at the moment. All I can say is that "my" Trevor autograph writing is leaning heavily to the right.

8 quid (that's GP Pounds to you foreigners!) inc p&p.... I've got mixed feelings about its genuineness to be honest - it's just I've not seen one very often so thought I'd take a stab at it.

Still looking for a reasonably priced, genuine, Sandy though.

And does anyone outside the immediate circle have anything signed by Martin?

Who else do I need?  Tom and Roger, Dan, the guy who sings on the Manor sessions who's name momentarily escapes me - and probably about a dozen others  Grin

If you're gonna forge autographs, you'd struggle to get rich forging Trevor Lucas's.

I reckon the autograph is genuine.

It's just another Trevor Lucas.

I asked Elizabeth Hurtt (the last Mrs Lucas) about the autograph, and this is her reply:

"I'd be happy to authenticate the signature . . .had a look at the thread and the 'leaning heavily to the right' sounds good.  Funnily enough I was in a meeting the other day and someone was going through some papers and I suddenly zeroed in on a signature - instant recognition of Trevor's signature . . .so it's funny this should turn up within the week. . . synchronicity again."

I didn't know Trevor had remarried.

I miss the giant Aussie.  Sandy and Martin were mentioned in dispatches at Croppers, but I couldn't help but wish they'd raised a glass to Big Trev too.

But surely the autograph would differ from the signature.

Thanks fstix...well, the signature is in my initial posting right at the top...if you could get a definite yay or nay from Elizabeth, that would be much appreciated.

Many thanks..

We have a definitive answer from Elizabeth and I'm sorry to say this is it...

"Oh dear . . . . . I'm afraid this is a complete fake.  Trevor's signature was a T Lucas and wildly untidy . . . sorry."

On the vague possibility this might be a serious question, the answer is (I'm pretty certain) No...  David's Canadian... little bit about him here..  http://music.yahoo.com/ar-292407-bio--David-Rea
