Dylan attends the Guitar Greats Festival (Legends de la Guitars) in Seville, Spain. This is a five-night extravaganza with each night devoted to a certain decade and having a musical director. The performances are organized in a relay fashion. Dylan performs his first song with Jack Bruce and his band, then three acoustic songs with Richard Thompson on guitar, and then introduces Keith Richards and they play Shake Rattle & Roll together. The musical director this night is Phil Manzanera. There are at least one hour from each night broadcast on TV and radio in various countries all over Europe.

It's been on TV a while back , which is probably where the video comes from. I've got a copy somewhere but cant find it at the moment! Most of the details are on the Youtube page.

A really interesting series of concerts they were on TV in the Uk and also on Radio 1, I was just learning guitar at the time and so taped most of them on audio and video.

Not sure that it was done by decade, rather by style - there was a blues night, jazz, heavy rock etc. they had most of the big guns in.

RT also did 'Keep Your Distance' with Roger McGuinn of The Byrds - that's also on youtube.

I remember watching that. It was my intro to the wonderful world of RT.  Smiley

The only other bit I remember seeing was Roger Waters doing something from The Wall. Thought he looked a bit of a **** to be honest.
