Happiest Days Of Our Lives (helicopter) the last two years IIRC. Disc 1 The Wall. They often use that, & Brick Pt 3 (or was it 2, and 1 )

It ruins the entire morning that ******g Cropredy soundcheck.
If I wanted to listen to Pink Bloody Floyd playing Brick In The Bloody Wall I'd have got myself sectioned. I wouldn't have driven to Oxfordshire at all!
I hate Thursday mornings at Cropredy.

You are so right, Mr. Freeman. A friend of mine opens his tent every Thursday morning at Cropredy, shouting "SHUT UP!!!" to the stage.

Listerning to it now it sounds compleatly different Time for a new hifi ? Or some serious monitors & sub ? Or even a small PA at home ? Try SR Technology http://www.srtechnology.co.uk/club/club.html I was totally amazed by the sound quality of these things, even without a sub, the helicopter will repeatedly kick you in the chest. Keep an eye on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330178726389&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014 I'd have had those for home monitoring had I any money, absolute bargain for £74! I've a Jam 150 and often put music through it instead of the monitors when I want serious dynamics & bass to break stuff with.

Nah. Luvvit.
Me too - I camp with the FC List Convoy (sorry if that's considered swearing here!) and we usually end up on field 2, the music on Thursday morning is a great accompaniment to the post errection Pimms session

And this year, considering thr proximity of the tents, a very friendly field 2 it was, as well. [attachment deleted by admin]

I love it too. It's the start of Cropredy for me - after the anxiety of getting to the convoy (sorry) on time and getting the tent pitched etc. I love way you can feel it. (Pimms? no one invited me! )

(Pimms? no one invited me! ) One doesn't need an invite, one only needs to bring an empty glass. Janey and I (amongst many others) make sure there's enough pimms to go around, though this year I did forget the ice... Oh the shame. As for the sound check, I find it gets me in to the Cropredy mood. Good friends, good booze, and good music - what else do you need? Paul

When a was driving into Cropredy the other week they were putting in new curbstones and the walls on the way out still had bricks missing from them.
Or am just confused.
Seriously surely if they were sound checking with something more ephemeral there would be a genuine reason for complaint. Although I quite like Genuwine.

Paul Yeah, well, my Cropredy mood is to be sat in a chair, nice and quiet with a cup of coffee and a woodbine. I don't need some sophistry on educational principles delivered at thirteen million decibels at nine in the morning, thank you very much. Blimey, Pink Floyd! Musical motto: why use a shovel when a bull-dozer will do. Scares the rabbits. No, what we want is marching music.

Well after the heart thumping 'will I make it to field 2 before the convoy', and 'why is the beer always under everything else' and the tent pegs are finally in, I love to pound along to the Wall. Then gradually start to chill...
