Won't be going to that one then. It's a pretty fowl drive to Worthing from here.

Possibly Winchester then.

Assembly halls. My son says that it is idiot proof parking. Which is good ...  Roll Eyes

Shame it's not the pavillion - my uncle was scattered off the end of the pier and I usually say hello to him when I'm there.

There is all sorts of stuff scattered off the end of the pier at the moment, mostly huge piles of timber! Pretty spectacular to see. Check out the Worthing Herald website for pics (sorry I can't do links  Embarrassed).

As for the Assembly Hall, there is a big car park right next door. Free in the evenings. It is a much better venue than the Pavilion for music. Incidentally I was in the Pavilion last night and the sound was nearly drowned out by the noise of the timber smacking into the pier. Very dramatic and slightly alarming!

I do indeed. I am much in the same boat. February is shaping up as a month of unforeseen expenses. Still hope to get to see the Chaps though. Early birthday present for myself.

All that sea-soaked lumber will have probably made its own way round the coast to Cleethorpes by then.

Out to sea. They'll have to Wait for the Tide to Come In.

Quite possibly. The rate the weather is going at the moment, we'll all be Down in the Flood before long.

You should all get back on topic or there will be a Limey's Lament, not Honour and Praise when this Sailing Boat meets with Polly on the Shore and has it out with a Golden Glove, so, as I have said, Ye Mariner's All should Let It Go as it's all Fiddlestix.

I reckon that Cocker and Tablo are waiting for that wood to float their way.  Destined to be an extension on an existing dredger maybe?
