Bob Harris's production company is listing under "in production":

The Sandy Denny Story: Who Knows Where The Time Goes
TX: BBC Radio 2, April 2008
http://www.wbbc.biz/pages/index.htm

The Independent trailed this last year but sowed confusion by referring at one point in the article to a TV doc, at another point to a radio doc. It looks like it’s radio (unless anyone has heard different?) I was hoping for a BBC4 programme along the lines of the profiles they did of RT, John Martyn, Robert Wyatt, Gram Parsons et al. Still, I console myself with the thought that R2 gets a much bigger audience than a minority digital TV channel. Wonder if it’ll be narrated by Robert Plant as promised? He’s a busy man these days.

About time... should be a full TV documentary. Poor old Sandy's gone really missing in the annals of "rock/folk history".

Good news - presumably the amazing lack of footage of Sandy made a TV doc unfeasible.

As you say at least R2 has numbers on its side.

I doubt there'll be much on R4 what with Sandy not being American / a jazz singer  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The latest Jam & Jerusalem had a snippet of 'Who Knows..' sung by Kate Rusby - Christmas come early as far as I'm concerned.

Sure it's coincidental but last year I emailed Emma at Pure suggesting / requesting Kate perform a Sandy song in '08 by way of tribute, hopefully it'll feature in this years' tour set list.

i wrote to The South Bank show a long while ago asking if we could expect a programme about Sandy as opposed to a load of people that nobody (well me at least) have ever heard of.i didn't get a reply.

Or late  Wink I do hope she does WKWTTG in this year's set. I'm going to see her in Peterborough in March.
