Hi Peggy,

What is the origin of the sparkly caps that you have often sported on stage at Croppers?
Are they made specially? Always by the same person? I am sure there must be a story behind this!

Hi. I found the hats in a shop in Carnac, Brittany which unfortunately no longer exists.( The shop that is, Carnac is still there!) I have one left, so unless I find another source next years Crops will be the last flying hat year. I dunno why I first started throwing them intro the crowd, could have been after a joyous gig, or too much 6x perhaps.I have met some people who were overjoyed to catch them.  It's risky as you get older and it worrys me that it might get thrown back!! cheers, Peggy

Son Dennis was really chuffed when he caught the hat at this years Croppers, but the man next to him growled that it was really meant for him, so sadly Dennis handed it over. Maybe he'll have better luck next year Smiley

That man should be ashamed of himself - he is a bully and there should be a campaign for him to give back what he stole.

Any budding miliners out there ready to renew the supply?
Or if Peggy's not keen on that one, sparkly fezs in solidarity of the last thrown cap at Cropredy this year?

Who needs "sparkly" when you can make a fashion statement like this:

Hi Cocker. Right, problem is where can you get caps like that? It's my birthday tomorrow and I hope someone brings me one. I have always been a fashion trendsetter and if you reckon this is"in" then it's for me. Maybe we could all get them for onstage wear? Bugger off! Peggy.

I can see it now - flat cap for Peggy, homburg for Jerry, a nice Panama for Simon, and matching deerstalkers for Ric & Chris.  Where's the photoshop expert (Cocker)?

Mr Thompson's beret is of course "de rigeur".

Indeed...but the music's definitely more interesting...that's a really nice version...some great musicianship all round...DM's on fine form and the little keyboard bits from Maart really add to it.  Great sound for a Youtube clip - must be edited into the film I imagine?

I think I was comatose while this was going on.  What an arse.  Oh, the stupid things we do when we're 20....  Roll Eyes

Unless, of course, it was due to Hendrix not wearing his sparkly cap  Roll Eyes

If one couldn't get a sparkly cap, would a sparkly capo do?

"sparkly capo do"....what a great phrase
