Hi. Well I can honestly say that I enjoy travelling and hve played most Countries. Australia and New Zealand were fave spots in the ' 70s when Fairport were pretty popular over there. I really enjoyed India when I was a Tuller and was proud of the fact that I was the only one out of the band and crew that escaped "Delhi belly." However the day we left India for Hong Kong the curse of the curry caught me out whilst walking up a flight of stairs in a park. Cue very animated purposeful running to nearest gents!
The only place I have been where I got scared and felt threatened was Lima, Peru. having said that, the audiences were great ,
but the city had a very uncomfy vibe about it.
I also got mugged in Sao Paulo Brazil and my necklace stolen. Martin Barre chased the robber ( Martin is a very good runner having done 3 marathons) but By the time I caught up he had gone into a gents toilet and there was a whole gang of men in there, when we went in they all said "Just go away" in a very menacing way , which of course we did! Outside the Hilton  where we were staying, the Tull crew were in a coach waiting to go to the airport when a masked gunman jumped on the bus and demanded to be taken to the airport. Convenient really!! Regards, peggy.
