Hi Dave,

I read that his album "Where Would You Rather Be Tonight" was recorded at your studio, Jon Benns tells the story that your dog bit Jake's leg as they arrived.   As we've just enjoyed the BBC4 TV Jake coverage this weekend bringing back memories of him I wonder if you might have any Thackray anecdotes from that time ?

Hi Pete. I was a huge Jake fan and would love to see that coverage if anyone can burn me a d.v.d. I spent 2 weeks telling everyone I knew that Jake was not to be missed at a concert he was doing in Banbury. None of my mates turned up to see him and he was well poorly with a really bad cold so spent the whole show talking and telling great stories to the small audience. A great talent and yep our dog "Legs" bit him! I was away on tour at the time and when Christine offered him a cup of tea on his arrival at our studio whilst reassuring him that the dog wouldn't  hurt him, he replied that the bugger already had! Maybe he was a former postman! A man sadly missed.

I can burn you a DVD, drop me a mail or IM with an address to send it to and it'll be there.

Should have gotten there today, or at the latest, tomorrow, given what first class post really means.....
