Pegg numbers

Hi Peggy, great to see you at Cropredy and on here.

As there appears to be a whole branch of mathematics devoted to who you've collaborated with, for example a quick search brings up this page  http://www.stocton.org/peggnumj.htm , is there anyone left that you would really like to work with?

I was watching Peter Gabriel's 'Growing Up' tour DVD the other night and if it's possible to fit 2 bassists on one stage, Tony Levin is one candidate from my point of view. (What's the collective noun for bass players btw?)

what ho ! You are right. I have had the great pleasure of hearing Tony close up and also got to meet and party with him on a couple of occasions. A tremendous bassist and in a different league from me. I would really like to play with James Taylor and my friend and hero Steve Winwood. I wouldn't turn down the chance to play with Mr. Thompson either! Cheers, peggy.

A local rock band in Oxford used to have two bass players and a cello (they were quite loud...  )

So twin bass line-ups are possible. Does that tempt you further to give it a go?

Or how about a 'feast of fiddles' for the other end of the string spectrum?

hi Nick. "big bottoms" eh? No one could do it better than Spinal Tap. Alan Thompson ( a great bass guitarist  who played at Cropredy this year with John Martyn and Then came the wheel) tells me that there is a bass convention that he has been to  in Scandinavia. S'posed to be great and I will try and find  details . For me  one bass is enough! Cheers, Peggy.
