Hi Swarb

When you received your EFDSS Silver Badge a few years back, there was some wonderful banter between yourself and young Peter Knight about an album together.

Now, for those of us of "a certain age", for whom Fairport and Steeleye were the twin cannons of folk/rock, this would be a dream come true.

Any further thoughts in that direction?  With your two contrasting styles, it could be really interesting!

Great news about the possibility.
Have you thought about joining Peter, Dave Mattacks & the Crew on the 'Feast of Fiddles' tour?

Great news Dave!
You  and the L&L reunion get mentions on DM's website .
How do you rate Dave as a drummer (in world terms)?

no one else for me  none better   swings like the proverbrials  and a top notch all round gent to boot.he is also the most restrained drummer with the most technique.  if anyone doubts that, listen to neil gows lament on the flittin album ,its 7 mins before he does a drum fill!  marvelous. and if you are reading this d.m. I will have a double Grin

I like his work with Chris Rea also.

A mate & me were sure the band (& Sandy) were inthe bar beforehand Wink...Could that be true?

Hi Swarb

Fairport shared the bill (especially at festivlas) with quite a few bands that featured violin players in the late 60s /early 70s.  Did you ever get to jam/meet with guys like Jerry Goodman (Flock,Mahavishnu Orchestra), David LaFalemme (It's A Beautiful Day) or Papa John Creach (Airplane/Hot Tuna)?..oh, and what about Sugarcane Harris (Zappa)?
Were you keen on these guy's styles?
Cheers,
Slippy Cool Cool
