Hi Swarb,

I remember Ashley saying in a interview once that he felt English folk and folk/rock could and should of been as big as American Country and Western. Did you ever feel like this or did it always feel like you and the folk musicians were involved in a very 'closed' musical scene. Do you think there was anything that could of been done to improve the image of folk music then, as even now to the musically unenligtend 70,s folk and folk/rock seems to have bit of a bad rep.

well, I have been around during three folk revivals or booms none of which i noticed.
