i dont play the mandolin much at the moment, i have a gibson a1 of about 1909 which i have had for ever, Martin carthy bought it for me in the early sixtys, he saw it in a junk shop and paid £45 for it ,i paid him back but he found it for me, what a gent>! and i have the top of the range Eastman f mandolin which was just given to me by the music shop whose name escapes me, the northern something, you will know i hope.
