Just checked Fairports USA booking agent site http://www.rgmbooking.com/home1.htm click tourdates and then Fairport...

It says they won't be visiting us here in the USA this year. Sad news indeed. I was getting a little spoiled by the annual visit. Hope to see you guys here again soon!

Being a Texan, I don't get many opportunities to see the lads even when they do cross the pond.

This year, however, I would have traveled East or West to catch them.

From what I've heard, they're missing 08, with a full line up in 09.

Personally, I don't see how they've been able to hit North America as consistantly as they do.  The schedule is grueling, the venues are tiny, and rarely sold out.  They can't be doing it for the money - just the goodness (and hopefully, adventure) in their hearts - God bless 'em!

Enjoy the sabbatical, Gentlemen.  Keep the set list fresh and we'll see you on the next go!
