Do You Miss The Fags, Swarb?

Not a facetious question. Just wondered if medical traumas were enough to dampen your enthusiasm or whether you still remember the urge?

good morning, every now and then I get the urge, but I think all smokers that have given up get the same feeling. Its not an addiction any more, its much more a kind of association with meals, a pint etc. and unlike an addiction the urge is over and done with in a split second.

I totally agree with Swarb here, after 3 heart attacks and a triple bypass I still get the odd urge but have yet to give in, as Swarb says with a pint or after a meal is the worst time.
I don't think we ever become Non smokers just ex smokers. But not a good way to give up.

yup, we shouldnt of started in the first place, what really gets up my nose big time, is politicians like kenneth clark sitting on the poard of a tobacco co, selling to the far east where they are not exactly enlightened as to the harmfull effects of the weed.. and sitting in the house here, should be ashamed of himself.
