Dear Swarb, like a supermarket I have to quetion in one post. 1. when you started to play folk music had you special sources of inspiration for your style and reportoire (traditional fiddlers, traditional music records, ...)?
2. Among your colleagues fiddler of golden age of folk revival (i.e. sixties and early seventies) are there anyone you had a remarkable friendship with or you especially like? For instance, my second favourite british fiddler (the first being one Swarb) is Barry Dransfield.
thanks in advance
Best

Swarb, hi. Not really a question, but it's to do with inspiration.
Yesterday we saw Martin Carthy do an interview with Colin Irwin (at Loughborough Folk Festival). He told some really great stories, and I was really touched by one thing he said when he was talking about your partnership. "he'll never know how much he's taught me".
Hope you'll do some more stuff with him soon.
