The 1975 "Tour Sampler" compilation is not exactly common. I don't have the track list to hand, but there's nothing on it that isn't available elsewhere.

Just tried to locate the one Robin has suggested on FC Fansite, but can't find it listed.  Might be me not looking properly.
Have a look for yourself.

The rarest Fairport releases that I'm aware of are the CD reissues of the 80s Cropredy gigs - AT2/The Boot and The Other Boot/The Third Leg.  I can't afford the prices I see these releases going for on eBay.   Angry Sad Cry

Oh for them to be reissued one more time before THE DEATH OF CD.

I'm not sure that it was ever released for sale. I think it was just given to radio stations as a promo. A reference with a cover shot is here.

Angry Angry The 80's recordings I REALLY want!
Thing is, I have a few compilations. 2 of them have pretty much the same stuff on them. The compilations I own are-

Chronicals,
The Classic Collection,
Meet on the Ledge,
Fairport unConventioNal,
Box of Peggs.

All of which are good to listen to, but they are many compilations not recognised by Expletive Delighted. Are there any that really stand out from the rest?

A few nice boots like a chronicle of sorts and sandy have wonderful live songs. Much of it is on FC at the BBC box set.  The rarest seems to be the cd release of at2. I want a DVD of rare tracks in the vein of The airing cupboard tapes.

FC are a band with more rare recordings than I've ever known. I can't think of a band who have more rare recordings!
I supose it goes to show how much Fairport care about their music. They have alot of songs that're recorded several times by the same line-up, and songs that are recorded several times with a different line-up AND a new arrangment. How generous of them Smiley

the trouble with most of the compilations that have come out in recent years is that they are the same tracks in a different order on most of them
the fact they are called compilations means that its just previously available tracks regurgitated and its nothing to do with the band
they just license the tracks to all sorts of dodgy labels intent on fleecing the fairport fans, for example one cd had had the picture of the "live convention" line up having a pee on the front but not one of the tracks was by that line up, it was all woodworm tracks live and studio
dont kid youself that theres any merit in most of these, thats why theyre most bargain bucket fodder

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the version of 'Adieu Adieu' from Box of Peggs from The Boot, 1984?

The 1975 "Tour Sampler" compilation is not exactly common. I don't have the track list to hand, but there's nothing on it that isn't available elsewhere.

Tour Sampler-
1. Mr Lacey
2. Who Knows Where The Time Goes
3. Lark In The Morning
4. Walk Awhile
5. John Lee
6. Rosie
7. Brilliancy Medley/Cherokee Shuffle
8. Whispering Grass
9. Sir B McKenzies
10. Rising For The Moon
11. White Dress

Good songs, but I already have most of them very same recordings(with the exception of tracks 8 & 11)

How common is the Cropredy 98 Cd, too?  That's a goodie as well.

And wasn't Scrum-halfbricking a limited release as well?

There was the 4/5(?) track island sampler that came out a couple of years ago - it was free, so I took a few from HMV.

Cheers
