Stung by a scorpion, surely?  More likely than being bitten.

But ouch!  Hope he gets over it soon.  My son was stung by a scorpion once, and it wasn't fun.

Sorry, just realised my 'ouch' doesn't show up (unless you highlight it) - must have done something wrong there!

Ouch! Hope he is well soon, and not too many of you are disappointed by canceled dates. He's not due to play here till 1st July and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing him again!

Just read that RT has had to cancel various North American gigs after being stung by a scorpion while on holiday in Mexico...That must be one of the more unusual reasons to cancel!  At least RT hasn't joined The Scorpions.

Edit: posted separately and independently into a different thread ... Great minds etc ...

Do those whose name I dare not speak make running shoes?

Was holidaying in Greece a few years ago and was warned about the local scorpions.

Their venom won't kill you for a day or two so we were told that if we were stung we should hobble to a local village and point at the wound and the locals would know what to do.

Scorpions are quite rock and roll though.

Some scorpion trivia from http://www.jewelrymall.com/insects/scorpion.html

Scorpions have six to twelve eyes but bad eyesight.

Scorpions tend to hide in cracks and dark places and thus, often symbolize secrecy and evil.

We all know RT's fondness for wearing black. Add to that a dark place and a scorpion with bad eyesight and it sounds like an accident waiting to happen!

I wonder if the scorpion has started wearing a black beret?  Wink

No, but I hear that the Scorpions on their inevitable comeback/farewell tour will be including the Move tribute song "Goodbye Black Beret Way"

And I suppose you all have heard about the RT tribute band - The Rocking Berets?

I have heard from the man himself that it's no big deal as he found medical attention within 20 minutes for the sting on a right-hand finger ((Becks would have got it on the foot...)) and didn't need anti-venom. Still got a numb hand but getting better and hoping for a personal all-clear in a week or two.

Still no word on the surprised arthropod... Does nobody care??!?

That's all folks.

Glad to hear he's on the mend. Does he have his hands insured?

Reminds me of a Stones gig at Wembley I had a ticket for back in about 1990 which was cancelled as Keef had hurt one of his hands. Don't remember it being anything as exciting as an encounter with a scorpion. He probably fell out of a tree...  Roll Eyes
