Well… I don’t get what the concept is here. There are new opportunities, for sure: the need to mark the thirtieth anniversary; Universal’s acquisition of Sanctuary and the BBC archive, which means that they now own (and can draw on) Sandy’s entire official output other than the Strawbs album. But this seems like Denny on iPod shuffle. If the idea, by abandoning the chronological approach, is to show the consistency of her work, it risks the opposite – of pointing up discontinuities. We go from the matchless sublimity of ‘She Moves Through The Fair’ to the girl-guide heartiness of ‘My Ramblin’ Boy’ (surely not on most people’s list of top 36 Sandy Denny tracks?); from the chamber-music delicacy of ‘Banks Of The Nile’ to the cringe-inducing wall-of-sound orchestration of ‘I’m A Dreamer’; then we lurch back again from the very end of her career (‘Moments’) to the beginning (‘Fhir A’ Bhata’). A bumpy ride, I’d guess from looking at the tracklist. And that’s just Disc One.
Plus, on the back of the booklet, they've used that lovely Steve Caraway photograph of her without crediting the photographer.

I guess I'm quite partial to having my cringe induced, then

I think I have to! Absolutely, Kascadekid. Don't pay any attention to an old curmudgeon like me. If you don't have her albums already, of course you should buy it. Over two hours of top-quality music for under a tenner - what a giveaway! I warn you, though, you'll probably end up wanting to own everything she ever recorded. It's like an illness, Sandy-mania, but a nice one. PW

I'd say don't get it. Get the regular albums (easily found for a fiver a go, with bonus tracks to boot) and/or the Treasures box set instead. Otherwise you'll just end up duplicating tracks, cos you're going to want them all eventually!
