Well, it was the end of the 60's- as exemplified by the ethos of that wonderfull fimn "Withnail and I".

There does exist a bootleg recording (David wil be aware of this) of Sandy Denny singing with a band she calls the "Happy Blunderers" or something like that, at, I think it was meant the Lincoln festival of 1971(?). The band is essentially Fairport, (Denny, Pegg, Thompson, Conway), I believe. Thinking about it, I wonder if it may have been recorded at this Krumlin festival instead, as comments made by Sandy, and the actual quality of the recording, indicate conditions wherever it was, were dreadfull-(meaning the weather, not the state of Dave Peggs' trousers!).

It's definitely recorded at Lincoln   - 24th Jul 71, and you're spot on with the band lineup...not a bad, band, eh?!

I recently read in Folk Bastard Monthly that Oliver Stone will, in fact, re-edit the the infamous, but key, Krumlin footage back into his film adaptation of the Full House years - Lads on the Ledge for the DVD "directors cut."

You might recall that originally, Jack White who portrays Pegg in the film, insisted that the scene be cut due to his real life tendency for performing in white pants and the potential sigma of being type cast.

However, since the film did so poorly with projected DVD sales of approximately 328, Mr. White has conceded that the resortation should have little, if any, lasting consequence on his career.
