1.   Hello!! I'm Lizzie, I'm 26 and I'm from Plymouth (ooh, I feel like I'm on a gameshow!)

2.   I'm a member of the Spiers and Boden forum, which shares a few members with Talkawhile.  They kept mentioning it so I thought I'd come on over and see what all the fuss is about!

3.   My Dad's been a massive Fairport fan from the beginning (Ashley Hutchings is his idol) so I grew up listening to them.  When I was 10 we went on holiday to Oxfordshire and my Dad insisted on a trip to Cropredy.  He took photos of my brother and I in various locations in the village that he recognised from Fairport albums and articles about the band!  Roll Eyes  I've sadly never been to the festival. I've always wanted to but stuff has always got in the way.  Maybe next year!

4.   Folk, rock, metal, classical, baroque, renaissance. A little mainstream poppy stuff but I don't really listen to it much.

5.   Download Festival, headlined by Faith No More, Slipknot and Def Leppard.  It was absolutely awesome! A few days of metal and madness

6.   The Mother of All Morris, and yes, yes I would!

7.   Complete the following sentence:
“Tonight, Sir Robert, I am going to be my all time favourite singer Eliza Carthy and I will
sing:  'Oranges and Seasalt' (not necessarily her best song but it's fun!)

(I'm membership secretary for the local CAMRA branch)

You'll find my name on that list somewhere!

Tonight Sir Robert,I'm going to be Joe Strummer and I will sing Stay Free

Pedant's corner but didn't Mick Jones sing that one?

Hi Everyone,
I will do as i am told and wear the dressingown and slippers-probably a good idea or else you may all feel a little ill!!
In answer to your questions:
a) My name is Judith (aka supernanny to she who will remain nameless) and I live in west Wales- although a true blooded yorkshire woman by birth and inclination-you know-opinionated and stubborn!!
b) I am here because Sam told me to join and that you would be nice to me!
c)I am festival Virgin!!
d)I have been a clost folkie for years-most of it is still on cassette-although have done a fair bit of Amazon shopping recently AND bought a walkmanMP4 player too!! I like anything apart from the stuff that makes my head fizz!!
e)f)...
g)you really don't want to hear me sing!! Although years ago I did play the fiddle and recorder. Undecided

Next year I have plans to go on a festival binge-making up for lost time!!!

1.   Who are you and where are you from?..   I am Philip and live in Keynsham(easy to spell-if you are old enough!) and also Brixham

2.   Found Talkawhile through the Fairport website and loved reading it.

3.   Known of Fairport for many years and always wanted to go to Cropredy and finally had an amazing time in 2006 and  its now the highlight of my calendar
4.   My taste in music is broad- but love prog and Canterbury scene, as well as folk and early classical.
 5.   the last gig was a concert in San trovaso in Venice of organ music by Vivaldi. nice place but the music was a bit soporific!. Saw the Bonzos before that-quite a contrast! And Cropredy of course Wink Also amazed by Neil Young on telly at Glastonbury-a genius

6.   the latest CD was by bellowhead- who are amazing.

7.   Complete the following sentence:
“Tonight, Sir Robert, I am going to be my all time favourite singer Neil Young and I will
            sing:  ' ...old man.............................'
