Quite a few possibilities for us - London, Tunbridge Wells, Hunstanton, St Albans, although it partly depends on which days of the week the dates fall.
If there is a changing setlist like last year, we'll probably try to get to more than one.
There seem to be more northern venues this year ... a good thing, obviously ... for northerners.

Just about 50 years out of date, there used to be a regular paddle steamer service from Weston-Super-Mud to Barry. Took one as a lad as well!

The changing set list last year was a real winner... hope for the same/different in 09 too (if you see what I mean )

No Croydon this year then - that's a shame. I usually do Tunbridge Wells then if I am still feeling peckish catch up with them again at the end of the tour at Croydon.

Still is Puggs, it's called the Waverley but it's currently out of the water having repairs on its paddle. And it only runs in the summer. Seems they prefer us to drive over the bridge. I have a friend with a RIB tho, he might take us across the Channel... would be fun coming back in the dark at 60mph (closest I can get to sicky smiley)

Peel would be a nice place for a gig, and after all, The Who played in Peel last year! (No, I'm not joking.) However, Douglas might seem more likely: The Gaiety? I won't be there--it's years since I lived on the Isle of Man--but I'll be at Kendal the night after. An "electric" gig in Kendal will be a first if I'm not mistaken ....

The Marlowe is being refurbished, (demolished!) they have no panto listed in their current programme which runs to the end of September. The programme says: "The Marlowe is scheduled to close early next year, and to reopen in Autumn 2010. During this period there will be plenty to keep you entertained, with performances planned in a number of different venues" The plans include a larger auditorium to seat 1200 rather than the current 950, a second 150 seat venue, new bars, 3 foyers, a riverside cafe, and a piazza. More info from this site: http://www.newmarlowetheatre.org.uk/I was hoping for Maidstone or Chatham to appear on the tour, so I guess it'll have to be Tunbridge Wells.

Just 2 minutes ago the Marlowe 'list of events' arrived on my doormat. Seems to be a full program until January 2009. Evidently Snow White is the Panto (with Honey from Eastenders as the heroine) It states that "The Marlowe is scheduled to close early next year and to re-open in early 2011" Unfortunately though, there is no mention of a band called Fairport ....

Likewise mine arrived after I'd posted so I only had the one up to September. So there is a panto, but obviously they are not booking too much.
