I've just noticed on Beesweb the RT date at the Barbican in January 2009. It's billed as 1000 years of Popular Music and is also listed on the Barbican's own site. Has anyone heard any news on a 1000 years UK tour?
I'd love to see the show but don't know if I can commit to a trip to London just now.
Thanks
ronnie

Oops - should have posted this when I bought my ticket....
I understand that it might turn into a short tour, but no guarantees..tickets are selling well, so don't hang around too long....

I've seen the 1000 years show twice and highly recommend it. It sounds like he hasn't done this in the UK before?? glad you folks will be getting a chance to see it. Amazing!

He did two nights at Sadlers Wells on the back of the very first string of USA dates - I saw them both.
If you're expecting anything written by RT - you won't get it at this gig.

Thanks for the tip off. Tickets for the Barbican purchased. Something to look forward to in the middle of winter, which seems to be arriving early this year!

It does. I bought it last year at Cropredy, but was disappointed to find that I'd paid way over the odds for it in comparison to t'internet. On the other hand the DVD / CD were/are great!

There are available: A single CD. A DVD and double CD.
I seem to recall that the first isn't a true subset of the second. I've enjoyed all the CDs, but haven't got round to watching much of the DVD. I'd love to see the show live.

I'd really like to see it but as my current contract expires in December I can't commit to the expense of a weekend in London. I'm going to hold off for something in Scotland.
From what I've read it sounds like a great evening's entertainment.

Yeah I agree. The traditional style rolling guitar lead is a great change up. His Britney impersonation is brill.

It's a great DVD - as my mate says, it's not one of those that you watch once and then forget about. And the album was my pre-Cropredy listening last week.
Barbican tickets in the bag! And there are loads left at present...
