It would be great to see a big screen production outlining the important aspects of a year in the life of Fairport Convention. With the following-
Simon: David Jason Peggy: Hugh Grant Chris: Michael Caine Ric: Alan Rickman Gerry: Christopher Lee

And you could have Brad Pitt playing me having a pint at the cricket field. Cocker, a challenge here for your gallery.!!

No time, NickReg.
But what I want to know is, how on earth could Ric ever be played by Alan Rickman!
Rickman would have to portray a former support artist so I'm told.

Nope, can't see him as Vikki Clayton either.

In a Cropredy programme one year, I seem to remember Fairport members were asked who would play them in a movie. Ric said Nigel Kennedy. I can't remember any of the others.

Surely Peggy could only be played by Richard Wilson.

What kind of film is this, K'Kid? In the 'Carry On' version the cast-list might read Sandy - Barbara Windsor Peggy - Bernard Bresslaw Simon - Jim Dale Swarb - Sid James and so on ......... (not forgetting a cameo of David Hughes by Charles Hawtrey) In the Hollywood blockbuster version: Swarb - Johnny Depp Simon - Russell Crowe Richard Thompson - George Clooney Peggy - John Malkovich Sandy - Kate Winslet Dave Mattacks - Brad Pitt Have you had enough yet? I take it that you don't want to read my 'Sunday Night Costume Drama' version or my Gangster movie version (directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Ray Winsome, Bob Hoskins and Keira Knightley)? No, I'll leave it there.

But after growing all that hair for the part in Merlin, surely you don't expect him to shave it off!! (unless it is to stick on his chin). [attachment deleted by admin]
