hello everyone, as you can probably tell im new here ,i have an unhealthy interest in folk music especially irish folk, but i can be persuaded to listen to all kinds of folk especially cajun and bluegrass.However my main reason for posting this request is to try and achieve a goal from 1972. At that time my local radio station in Manchester ,England was Piccadilly, they ran a programme called Folkspan every week and on one occasion i caught the last few minutes of a song performed by Fairport Convention with Sandy Denny as vocalist . Now my question , does any one know where i can obtain , look at or download song lyrics for the band, i only have a very brief couple of lines from the end of the song , but it was such a fantastic sound that i have been trying to find it since then any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Russ..  |

Have you tried typing the lyrics into google and searching? I'm sure if you typed them here, someone would identify the song for you. |

It refreshing to know that I'm not the only one here who has watched too many episodes of HOGAN'S HEROS.........made the difference between a passing and failing grade in German, I believe!

By the time ALLO, ALLO came out, it was too late for me. Being weened on the Bavarian dialects in HOGANS, I just never could grasp that Lower Saxony twang in ALLO! |
