Booked. We had to shift a few things around, but I'm sure it will be worth it

I've just notced that Chris While and July Matthews are playing at Brampton Live on 18 July, which presumably means Chris will not be deputising for Sandy at this.

Oh yes... with an extended RT solo... nothing too gratuitous, just maybe a stretch-out 7 minuter?? "East-West"??? "Let's Get Together" And whilst it would be great to see a warm-up act of (say) Swarb and Carthy I also trust this will emphatically revole around FC/WWDOOH/Unhalfbricking... Can't wait!

I expect to see random knitting as well I went to see Jethro Tull on tour last year. There was a woman in the front row, knitting! Ian Anderson couldn't believe his eyes and asked her what she was knitting.

From While & Matthew Website tour page Fri 17th Carlisle Brampton Live Sat 18th Carlisle Brampton Live Julie Matthews Solo (Special One Off) The bottom line may be very significant Speaking to Chris While on Monday night, she confirmed she will be singing at the Barbican, but expected it to be only on three songs! Now that can't be right, surely? In the light of her many performances with Fairport, most notably the whole of Liege and Lief at Cropredy (and the amazing WKWTTG last year with Kellie) I reckon she's about the best interpreter of Sandy's songs around at the moment. So c'mon chaps, give Chris some more songs and make her 300 mile trip worthwhile as well MartinD (long-time lurker and occasional pop-up)
