Only 2 days to go. In spite of things I may have said on this thread and elsewhere I find myself getting quite excited! That may be partly down to having found an interesting looking pub to go to first though! I've got interesting, and lovely, people to go with; and decent beer promised; and a concert that seems to be like Chinese boxes. And I'm seeing Harry Potter the night before (just a big teenager I am), and going camping the day after

Right, as we career towards Saturday evening, what songs are people hoping to hear (however implausable)? There's certainly a lot to choose from if the evening is based on the first five albums...
For me, the evening will have been a total sucess if we are treated to The Lobster and A Sailor's Life.
Anybody else?

That's one out of leftfield and one definite I'd say/hope! I trust you're at least half happy at the end of the gig! I'm pretty sure anything they chose to play from the first 5 will satisfy me. The Ballad of Easy Rider would be a buzz though. I love that song...and their version of it.

Controversial I know but I'm not fond of A Sailor's Life. I'd love to hear, Time Will Show The Wiser I Don't Know Where I Stand Jack O Diamonds Chelsea Morning One Sure Thing (How much time have you got Jude?) Suzanne I'll Keep It With Mine Tale In A Hard Time Genesis Hall Doctor Of Physick Sir Patrick Spens Poor Will I think MOTL, WKWTTG and most of L&L are pretty much a certainty.

Do you think? They've done that though haven't they? And sans Swarb this time as well... I reckon there will be 3 or 4 from L&L. Reno Nevada is pretty definite I'd have said!

I'm basing this assertion on the fact that my original CD of the album was split into 7 tracks but I think it was a faulty pressing. I guess I'm going to have to back down on this one. But actually I will be surprised if it is less than half of the album on the night. With CL instead of Swarb, it is more obviously doable than much of Full House, at least vocally. So (a max of) 'half' equates to 'most' in GubGub land does it? Interesting

Dear mods I'm not sure where this thread is leading, but I am somewhat disheartened by the unpleasantness of the tone of some of the posts so could you please prune, for the sake of communication and in the name of "it's nice to be nice"? Or not, if you think I'm being a little harsh

See you tomorrow, Jude (don't forget to pack a few copies of your new CD!) - and everyone else that's going. Safe journey, all.
Just have to decide whether to go to the "free" pre-gig sessions or the pub. At the moment, I'm leaning towards the music; after all, I'm sure some of us may well be having a post-gig drink...
