I bought a copy on Saturday ay the Barbican. Haven't listened to Harpsong yet - not enough spare time - but the first few tracks are absolutley beautiful. Album of the year so far, definitely - and I can't see anything beating it (unless Jude has another album up her sleeve...)

Just a quick signed/numbered cd update, nearly all are en route, and the very last will be posted today/tomorrow. Can people let me know if they don't have them from a week today please. I did a lot of USA/Canadian copies on Wednesday, so those should be arriving today/tomorrow. Thanks, and thanks for the great responses

I really want to listen to this album but i shall have to wait for a (hopefully) signed copy at Croppers. I've just got to stop myself from buying it between now and then

I am always happy to sign things and I will be doing a signing stint at Crop (15.10 - 15.45 on Friday.. )

There's a 5 star review of TWS up on Amazon.com http://tinyurl.com/ntt64u Extract "here you have Dyble's finest commercially available recording since the Trader Horne album, and I think even in fact her overall single most desirable album to own! I say most desirable, because the music just hugs you and you want to hug it."

I've now listened to the whole album through twice - I can honestly say it's the best album I've heard for years. I may be biased - after all, it's our Jude, and some of my favourite players from the early 70s are on there (Fripp, McDonald etc) - but it gels so well together. The shorter songs are all lovely, while Harpsong seems to me to enscapsulate all that was good in the much-maligned "prog" era - top musicianship & production, strong melodies, natural development of themes - without any of the bombast of the era. I keep hearing little echoes of lots of other bands - eg early Crimson (obviously), Floyd, Trader Horne, Stackridge - so I guess it could be described as a very "English" album. But it transcends that. Hats, fezzes & tiaras off to Jude & her collaborators... top marks!

Mine finally arrived in North Wales today....having suffered rather badly due to the vagaries of the UK postal service. Anyway, now rehoused in a new CD box I am listening to it and think it is truly wondrous.
Incidentally, was about to get huffy about receiving an unsigned copy until I realised Jude, Tim and Alistair all have miniscule, and very neat, signatures!
Any undecideds out there really shouldn't be. It's everything you could possibly hope for and a lot lot more. I will be listening a lot over the next few weeks I'm sure....
Many thanks to the cast of thousands!

Sorry about the CD case David, must be going over all those bumpy mountains and glad you found the sigs - didn't leave much room for signings did I?

I'm still waiting patiently, every day I get home and enquire about the post and get fobbed off with communications from various financial organisations but never a sign of this elusive cd. Perhaps it is some sort of life affirming quest or test and I will win through and achieve the goal of a shining silver disc packed with wondrous sounds ...

Yup!! It's a way of life, an endless quest, a snarl-up at the post office, a hole in the sack, evil goblins at the sorting office.. If it doesn't arrive by next week let me know....

Tim, maybe it would have worked better if they had sent yours to me in New York, and then I would have sent it back over to you. Who knew??? Cheers /// Tom M.***
