No news yet keep an eye here if theye are using the same agency, you can even try emailing Pat Garrett he is responsive.

Hopefully they will remember the north west section of the country although considering previous turn out I find that hard to believe.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the link.
Pat wrote me right back and told me that he is trying to get Fairport to play at the Milwaukee Irish Fest.Which would be outstanding since that is about 10 minutes from my house.
The last time they were anywhere by me was in 2003 and like you mentioned,I don't think the turn out was that great. They would go over great at Irish Fest.

We all appreciate that we have a warm and appreciative following in the States and all enjoy being in your country. We're hoping that Pat Garrett can put us a tour together in September/October 2010: but it's not easy for him as the logistics of touring the five of us, a noise boy, the instruments and our suitcases needed for a month as well as getting the legal paperwork together are daunting.

But if it can be done, it will.

Outstanding! If you play in Milwaukee and want to save on Room and Board,my house is always open,I'll even buy the 1st case of beer, though that would probably be gone within the hour. Wink

Hummm.......that sets the gears a turning.  Wouldn't it be cool to possibly pick a central location for the eastern / midwest folks on the board to all gather for one gig.

We could pitch in on a hospitality room at a Howard Johnsons and serve Fresca or something.  Might be a hoot!

Sorry Neil, Oregon is a far piece to do a curve.  We'd all have to meet in Telluride to make that work - although I might give it a try!  Smiley

Maybe the offer of Fresca was just too much for the more timid members Wink

It's still around if you look hard enough.  Last time I had one was in the spring of '84, I believe.  Even then it was like "where in the heck has this stuff been over the last 10 years?!"

Jim, it tastes sort of like Tom Collins mixer with a couple baby aspirin dissolved into it.  Serves as a nice complement to Thorazine after a long day of shock treatment.  Wink

I don't think I could be arsed to look hard enough!  Wink  But if I have to guzzle a 12 pack of it to see Fairport next year, I'll do it.

Fresca is still being made and it now comes in peach flavor, NOW maybe that would be a bit of a tempter!!!
