it was a one off for Granada tv, when the Full house line up played on, i think, Swarb's smiddyburn album, they did music from the album and linda joined them for "poor Will" and a couple of richards songs, and the show was hosted by mike Harding there is certainly audio of the show but ive never seen ant video of it, except when it was in telly. I dont know if was networked, lucky me living in manchester
google "raffertys folly" the audio is on that

The "Rafferty's Folly" bootleg is certainly an interesting alternative version of the "Shoot Out The Lights" album, the extras include the audio from the TV special by this lineup as stated above, don't know of any archived video.

there is certainly audio of the show but ive never seen ant video of it I taped the programme off the tv when it was shown in the STV region. The tape still exists somewhere in my attic & I might find it one of these bright days if I can face tackling the mountain of 'stuff' that has accumulated up there.

Shame that the audio quality isn't better though. Jules

The sound was very compressed and therefore pretty awful, a great pity as the playing was exellent.

Marvellous!! Musicianship at it's best, and am I right in feeling that -apart from the obvious grin from RT- it's Swarb's gig! Thanks for giving it to us!!

Thanks for giving it to us!! i think Smiddyburn had just been released and it was the reunion of the full house line up that prompted Granada tv to do the FC in concert special doing all Swarbs material and Poor Will off full house. thats as much as my memory tells me, i fully expect to be corrected

It is the Full House line up plus Linda Thompson, but they do steer away from the obvious FH material, by and large. Not necessarily towards Swarb, though.
Last tune of Dirty Linen / Poor Will / Sir Charles Coote, Smiths / Wall Of Death / Sword Dance, Young Black Cow / I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight.
However - the video that's gone up is by far the best quality of the lot, probably due to its black background. The rest is still several generations old VHS with very washed out colour. Not that easy to watch. But maybe it might still go up over time anyway.....
