So....here's a question...how did you first start in music?

It started at Booth Lower School.The Head Teachers name was Barry Care (OBE services to Morris dancing and father to none other than Simon Care)This resulted in me being a black belt morris dancer by the age of 7 and joining Moulton Morris Men at the age of 11.
I do have to say.... although it pains me greatly, Simon leant me a squeezbox at the age of 12 which I learned to play very quickly.So I do largely, have him to thank, although it wasn't quite the way, he'd have you beleive.
The reason for the haste was that Simon was getting a lot of greif from his father about not making morris bookings but instead favouring band engagements (££££££!!).
So there I was being threatened to learn this tune and that tune so he could hoppit with the band.(He could do that in those days. He was bigger than me!)The system altered slightly and not surprisingly in accordance with my physical stature over the next few years from bullying to bribery as I carried on depping for SC right up to and including the Albion Band in 1992.
I think it was then, after that 11 months of gigs with The Albion Band, was when I really got seriouse about wanting to be a full time musician.
