Just a reminder that Fairport Acoustic will be playing in St Mary's Church, Addetrbury on Friday July 10th from 7:30pm.

This special show is to support the Adderbury Party in the Park fund which feeds village charities, specifically the Katharine House Hospice in the village. There are still around 100 tickets left, and these are available at £15 from The Bell Inn and TasteBuds, both on Adderbury High street.

It'd be great to see some of you there if you can make it. Why not hang around for 12 hours of FREE music in Adderbury Park the following day, Saturday 11th July? Bands her include Freeway Jam, Dickie White's Jazz Allstars, Harlequinn (opening up Cropredy Thursday and FANTASTIC) and loads more.

More details of the full event including running order and timings can be found at http://www.AdderburyEvents.co.uk

Cheers!

Triv - I've emailed you as well... is there any way I can get a ticket other than from the shop/pub? I'm running the Adderbury half-marathon the following morning (camping at Bo-Peep).

Cheers

I've just reserved a ticket via The Bell Inn (thanks, Triv!) - they asked how many I wanted, so I guess there must be at least a few...

Camping

Camping is available at the Bo Peep Caravan Park. Although it is the other side of the village (approx 1.5 miles walk), the walk is lit on the road until you get to the entrance to the site. About here however it goes dark, so we would recommend you take a torch or two with you! And it's not a festival campsite, so no Glastonbury'esque bonfires or Cropredy sing-songs at 2am please!!!  For more information, please visit http://www.bo-peep.demon.co.uk/  - and tell 'em we sent you if you go in person!!!

I can't make the Friday gig as I have a last minute Party in the Park rehersal with Blue Coyotes that night - we're the first band up on the Saturday afternoon. Hope to see you lot there. I'll be the one with the Fender Jazz bass - but at the minute I can't make up my mind which colour to use!

I'm staying at Bo-Peep on Friday night; seriously considering staying over Saturday as well so I can have a few beers after the run while watching the bands...

If anyone wants to reserve tickets they can cal The Bell in Adderbury (Gold medal winning beers) on 01295 810338 and reserve. Just collect before 7:00pm on Friday 10th and wander across the road to the Church to see FCA.

Anyone in a Fez at the gig qualifies for a beer on me at the Bell after the gig!

Surely it'd be open at lunchtime, Chris?

But are you going to go along at lunchtime when the gig is in the evening?....!!

No - what I meant was if you turnmed up before 7pm, say at 6.45pm is the pub likely to be open? I thought it only opened for evening trade at 7......

So,

who from TAW is going?

I'm definitely going - Chris, Ian, Angie H? Anyone else?

I'll be in the Bell to pick up my ticket at/shortly after evening opening time...

I would have, but being car-less means I can get as far as Banbury and then I would face difficulty get to/from Adderbury (I think unless somebody can enlighten me)

I think you can probably get there, Dave - service 59 on Stagecoach Oxfordshire (google for timetable), but I'm not sure where you'd stop overnight - you would definitely need to B&B somewhere. The last train to Birmingham (Moor Street / Snow Hill) is around 2300.....
