I'd really love to go but I'm playing a gig that night so won't be there (and it's a bit far from Edinburgh).

So,
who from TAW is going?
I'm definitely going - Chris, Ian, Angie H? Anyone else?
I'll be in the Bell to pick up my ticket at/shortly after evening opening time...
I would have, but being car-less means I can get as far as Banbury and then I would face difficulty get to/from Adderbury (I think unless somebody can enlighten me) Hi Dave, sadly we won't be going otherwise you could have come with us. If you can get to Banbury, we know a great B&B that is very cheap and friendly. IM if you need details. C x

The Bell in Adderbury is open from 6pm on Friday 10th July to allow our dear guests refreshment and ticket collection.
It'll remain open until midnight - at least ;-)

Any remaining tickets will be taken to the Church and available on the door from 7:00pm when we open. They'll be in The Bell between 6:00pm and 7:00pm (a stones throw away). The gig starts at 7:30 Hope to see you there Triv

What a lovely evening it was. And such a beautiful setting.
I met Paul and Martin, but they didn't recognise me. Can't think why.

I was there! Sitting far-left in one of the comfortable chairs I think I saw Chris, but no-one else, and I don't suppose anyone recognised me.... The show was good, and it was especially moving to hear the love with which Simon spoke about Sandy (And wasn't the girl singer impressive? Astonishing voice for a fourteen-year old )

I was in the front side pew, immediately next to the comfy chairs. Wearing a red top. Yes, she was lovely. Her name was Jossy. If you were where I think you were, I believe there were several of her schoolfriends sitting in front of you. When Fairport came on, they kept mouthing to their fathers that they wanted to go outside, but weren't allowed to. They weren't there after the interval. Kids today eh?

Ha! I think I saw you. I had a Fairport 2006 tee-shirt and a denim shirt, and was possibly visibly pining for another glass of white wine towards the end of the first half It looked as though the show was being filmed; anybody know?

Over 300 people packed the beautiful Adderbury church on Friday evening, good to see Chris B there and to meet AngieH. Paul was busily loading carbohydrates in prepartion for running a half marathon the following day, I hope it went well Paul. Fairport delivered a supurb set, (1st half) Walkawhile,Widow of Westmoreland,Festival Bell,Crazy Man Michael, I'm Already There, Woodworm Swing,Fame & Glory,Slip Jigs,Rocky Road. (2nd half) Travelling by Steam,In Our Town,Frozen Man,Peggy's Pub,Ukulele Central,Fossil Hunter,Happy Man, WKWTTG,Wood and the Wire,John Gaudie/Bowmans Retreat....MOTL I have attempted to upload some pics on Flickr, a first for me, who knows if it will work http://www.flickr.com/photos/16610726@N07/

Thanks chaps. Ian I saw a guy located alongside the mixing desk armed with a video camera, Triv or Ed would almost certainly know his name.

Evening all,
as others have said, a lovely Friday evening in and around Adderbury church & the Bell. FC on good form & yes - young Jossy was terrific. Great pics from Martin (thanks) - I want one of those bass ukes - where did Peggy get it?
Good to meet Angie, Martin & Chris in the church - sorry we missed Ian, though.
And the carbo-loading only worked up to a point... a fitful & uncomfortable sleep in the tent caused very stiff & painful hips, so the run wasn't quite as quick as I'd hoped! And the weather forecast didn't sound too good, so I'm afraid I didn't stay for the Party in The Park - though I did catch the latter half of the Blue Coyotes - who sounded just fine to me. Hats off to Tony (the Roundhead) on the bass...

Wish you luck trying to get your hands on a bass Ukulele Paul, Peggy reckoned his is one of only two in the country, apparently the other one is owned by the Ukulele Orchestra of GB
