Gulp! This will be at the 100 Club in Oxford Street in London on the 27th August (yes I know I have been muttering other dates, but this is the confirmed one) There will be sets from Sand Snowman, David Hughes and Tim Bowness and Alistair Murphy and my live band (coo!) will be Tim, Alistair, Simon Nicol and Mark Fletcher, plus other guests There will be a press/trade show at 4pm for a 5pm performance and a public show 7pm for 7.30 performance. all over by 10pm in time for trains home Tickets are £10 each from http://www.brilliantmusic.bigcartel.com and the first 100 tickets sold will allow for attendence to both shows with buffet hospitality ( a bag of crisps ) I will try to put a copy of the poster up because it's really good! Colin? Nick? help? Jude gulp!

Mike, well done - your in and just to correct Jude slightly, the first 50 sold direct from us will be allowed access to the press/trade part of the event, with a meet and greet. Though this is purely optional. J

Yep, 10 sold in the blinking of an eye! I'll let you know when we are close to the 50 break point....after that, its purely down to bribery and corruption!

Coming from near-York, Sam Smiths was a local brew. £1.33 a pint for the SS Old Brewery Bitter last time I was at the Hansom Cab in York. See you for a few pints just south of lunchtime?

A bit early for me; gig isn't until 7, I'll be slaughtered (lamb) by then. Will sort out nearer to the time. Pub is: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/38/3827/Crown/Bloomsbury

My other half and I are the managers of The Blue Posts, 81 Newman Street, a Samuel Smiths pub which is just around the corner from the 100 Club. The Blue Posts has been the official pre-show pub for the 100 Club for years (they gave passouts from the club before they had their own bar). We've also received good reviews from beerintheevening.com, guys, and we're much closer to the venue than The Crown in New Oxford St. (and we serve Samuel Smiths Old Brewery Bitter on handpump !) We would love to invite any Talkawhilers, musicians, punters etc. to The Blue Posts for drinks pre and after show on the 27th August for Jude's album launch - this should be a really great night, looking forward to it already !

Sorry, Jude, I corrected that link before reading your later post....

That sounds fine, Dan, happy to change. Link: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/56/5608/Blue_Posts/Soho(are you the "grumpy looking landlord"? )

I have just spoken to Dan O on the phone, and he has very kindly given us a load of pre gig help - and I am officially nominating the Blue Posts as the pre/post/during official watering/hospitality venue. Interviews, and meet and greets will take place there, and thanks to Dan and his team for the very kind invite. So thats where we will all be hanging out on gig day

I think that's the wrong one, Keith. There seem to be a few "Blue Posts" in London. I think this might be the right one, on Newman Street... http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/69/6987/Blue_Posts/FitzroviaI like the quote: full of postmen,.....not necessarily a bad thing,..ima just sayin is all.... We shall do our utmost to be there At the gig, that is. I'll need to negotiate time off work if we're going to get to the pub beforehand though. Cheers Nick
