I simply can't add much to the superlatives used above - those who missed it but could've been there - you should be kicking yourselves....your penalty should be putting Jude on in your area! Superb evening, even if some wasn't quite my cup of tea either - sorry, No-man Lite!
Alighting back in Banbury, who should also emerge, but Mr Nicol - who simply must have flown up to Marylebone....
Photos are off the camera, but unlikely to appear until next week as I'm out at festivals all weekend.

Well done Jude (and Jon for organising it, and everyone else!) I loved Judes set, and wished David had been on for longer. It was lovely, and well worth the logistical planning required for a trip to the smoke unaccompanied by child, and when one of you has had a van to deliver back to Egham in the afternoon, and the Bakerloo line isn't running (thanks, TFL, how to you know when I'm coming to London?). Sad to have missed any post show gatherings, we dashed off but missed the train we went for anyway, would have been nice to have a mineral water afterwards with you all.

I've changed the title of this topic as it's now about the gig itself rather than how to get tickets for it.
hope that's ok?!

Keith managed to wreak havoc in Currys... funnily enough, curries usually manage to wreak havoc in me. Sounds like a most successful evening - hearty congratulations to Jude & friends, and big back-patting to the TAWers who were able to go along & give their support.

Thankyou for altering the title Nick, excellent. I have to say I am wildly blushing here but I have woken up feeling very delighted and with lovely memories of the day. One of the many internet friends that I met for the first time in person yesterday gave me a painting that she had created of 'Flower' (the old greyhound that I recently lost) from a photo on my Facebook, so that was a bit of a tearful moment. The whole thing was like being surrounded by a musical hug really And yah boo to the Bakerloo line closure, which added a complication to the day that I could have done without, but didn't spoil it in the least.. How fab was all that then?

I think TFL have got something against folkies! They closed the Victoria line on the day of FC's Barbican gig too. Sounds as though everyone had a great time last night. I wish I could have been there.

Globbits and further globbits I couldn't go because Lady YaBB had arranged something else. I complained to her about this, saying how great the reviews were. Evidently I didn't explain properly and she would have much preferred to go to see Jude. She has been playing the CD in the car on the way to work all week and loves it, but didn't know what it was (I'd just left it on an mp3 disc). and further globbits.

I'm coming very late to this (can only plead a very hectic weekend of work, travelling and seeing the family all too briefly), but I feel I should echo others comments as it was a truly amazing night. It really was a privilege to be there as these beautiful songs from a lovely album had their first live airing.
Jude, you were superb. It worked perfectly live. I do hope there wil be more opportunities to see you perform these songs. ANd what a great band to help you do it.
Plus, of course, Mr Hughes in support.
Plus Dan and his Mrs in the pub - So much better quality and better prices than at the Club, Oh, and excellent Steak Pudding.
And meeting up with so many people.
All in all a night to remember for a very long time.

Well I am delighted that you all had a good time and that you liked the performances and the songs. And I want to add my thanks to all the musicians that played with and around me and to the splendid Dan and Mrs Dan who looked after everyone. What a great pub that is! (And of course Jon the M who tied himself in knots organising it all) I don't have plans to do any more live things, I really want to make a start on the next set of songs and I do need to concentrate on that. But ...... never say never...

Probably not sing it live again I hope that's not the case If the career spanning (box)set ever comes out, will you play the whole of that in order as well? Please....

Sorry, Keith - it's festival season & I've been out every weekend since the gig! Out again this one too, but I've put aside the following weekend to get through them all....
