I saw the show in Munich yesterday and it was quite good.
Simon's voice sounded good, Chris Leslie seems to have caught the bug now, his
voice was not as good as usually. But he played perfectly, of course.
Surprise for me was Johnny Logan, who sang really good, and impressed my boys
(15 and 16).
They know of course that they have to be impressed more by the members of Fairport...

I'm afraid that I am with Chris on this one, I would have loved to have seen the show in either Hannover or Frankfurt, but the ticket price, airfares, taxi and hotel costs for 2 or 3 of us is just not in the realms of the do-able at this time. It was a very good night in Stuttgart. Nice audience, 2 encores.
Now Iīm looking forward to Frankfurt on Saturday.

Great show in Zurich yesterday evening.
We saw it the second time (after Kaltenberg last year) and not being wet wasn't the only difference.
All artists performing impressively tight.
The "house band" really holding the whole thing together and pushing it at the same time.
J Logan sang his socks off but giving you - positive - shivers were Simon, Chris and J McShee.
Voices in great form.
Thank you for a wonderful show.
(only drawback was the (Swiss) audience, which seemed a bit restrained )

In the Munich show of Excalibur they were impressive to look at, but not too
much was heard of them, unfortunately.
When leaving the concert hall I heard some people talking about them, they seemed to be fans and were quite disappointed, that there wasn't more of them in the show.
But I think that was part of the marketing concept to get a lot of names on the posters and a lot of fans to buy tickets.
It definitely worked for the Fairport fan writing here, but honestly I think the show wouldn't have suffered if there had been no Alan Parsons or no BJH (sorry I am too lazy to look up the name).

You mean Les Holroyd and you are right, he canīt sing anymore. On Saturday I left the venue during his second song because I could not stand it any longer to hear him trying to hit the notes. The Corvus Corvax have a very faithful following. The band played at the after show party on Saturday till 3 in the morning and we danced and had a lot of fun. I think that Peggy will book them for Cropredy. |

I really like his song on the Anne De Bretagne album. It is my favourite track on the record. Admittedly though he was all over the place during the ADB & Excalibur shows last summer. |

He was worse at Kaltenberg last year. In Zurich he succeeded hitting the notes about half the time. Corvus Corax though they would be great at Cropredy - lets say Thursday evening ? Imagine their version of Carmina Burana - now, that would be something for a change, wouldn't it ? |

I wonder whether there are plans to tour Excalibur in the U.S.?
Done right, it could attract audiences similar in size to Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Riverdance. That's nothing to sneeze at - they play in Peoria as well as New York and L.A.
