Hi again Angelofthenorth,

Evora is the name of a medieval town in Portugal. It lies almost due east of Lisbon, and is in virtual desert, as mentioned in the song. The temperature was 40 C plus and almost unbearable, hence the lyric reference to 'looking through the shades', sunglasses, and 'walking by the walls' to try and get some shade and 'waitng for the evening to call' for the cool. we, Whippersnapper, were doing our first tour of Porugal, and I have to say I loved it. As mentioned in the song it was 'the first time' I'd been to Evora, and also I have never been back, also mentioned. I had a couple of heart stopping moments when I was there, which I won't go into here, Anyway there you go and I did write the words to this one also.
Thanks for your interest, I know your a bit of a poet so I rea;lly appreciate it,
best Kev
