C'est moi... (and my wife)

« on: October 24, 2009, 09:47:49 AM »

I've separately just started a brand new topic, and wanted to get notification of any replies. I tried checking the "notify" button, and was asked by the very nice box "Do I want to disable notification of this subject". Any explanations please?

PS, the same has happened when I asked to be notified of any replies to this question...

I expect that in your profile you have set to automatically receive notifications on topics you start.

Sorry to be late in replying Colin. Had a very busy week. As much as I enjoy TAW, other things do occasionally take priority.

Your observations are indeed correct. I must stop using the computer when I've had a nip or two...

Dear Mods

Is it possible to subscribe to threads without posting in them?  In particular, I wanted to subscribe to David's (cat + melon)'s thread about his book shop, but I have nothing to say in it so I don't get it showing up in my "new replies to your posts".

Is there a way around this?

Steve

You can click Notify which will send an email when a new post is made to a thread.
