Stop me if this has been posted elsewhere. It's worth reading for the boot polish story.

Hasn't Steve Tyler been ill? I thought I heard the band were thinking of playing some gigs without him. Or am I having a senior moment and getting confused and it was really about someone called Dave Taylor?

There was talk about him leaving Aerosmith (or at least 'temporarily' replaced like Jon Anderson in Yes), due to the injuries he sustained when he recently fell offstage, and his bandmates even went so far as to say he'd left, but apparently it's not true.

Ah yes, he fell, that was it.

I like the idea of Chuck Berry touring at 83. Hard to imagine him as a grumpy old man. Roll Eyes

He's playing up the road from me in Limehouse shortly.  I'm quite tempted; I saw BB King (who is a similar age) a couple of years ago, and he still has a hell of a voice, and the guitar chops are still there, even if he has to play sitting down

Great article. I also quite like Swarb's remark that he can only do half a windmill.

I saw Chuck Berry 3/4 years ago and he was still great.

Jerry Lee Lewis, who was on the same bill, however was a big disappointment.
